Mary stared at the letter kept on her desk for the last 20 years.

It had served as incredible motivator through her challenges, running a hospital through the war.
Her gaze slid to a blank parchment in front of her, and her pen began to glide across it.
“Despite the fact that you have managed to update your strict academic standards, I must respectfully decline acceptance of an Honorary Doctorate from the distinguished Harvard University.”
She smiled, satisfied.
